What format are the video clips in this forum?
During the Spring/Summer of 2015 95% of the clips were replaced with a standard format. That format is
MP4 video and
AAC (2 channel audio). This combination seems to be the most compatible worldwide and works with most devices. Almost all clips are
720P or
1080P high definition.
What is the best file host to download videos on this forum from?
1. MEDIAFIRE (PREMIUM) - I have a premium account with them. Fast downloads and no CAPTCHA due to premium account.
2. MEGA - NO CAPTCHA and fast download speeds. There is also a stand alone program MEGA LINK DOWNLOADER that works well with this too
What size video clips are here on the site?
Effective July 2017 we are moving toward an HD (1080P & 720P) ONLY video clip site. There has been a recent increase for TV shows and movies to be released in Bluray or 1080P broadcast video. Some TV series bluray examples include BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY, LOST IN SPACE, and BATMAN: THE ORIGINAL SERIES. Shows like LEGEND of the SEEKER have recently been acquired in 1080P as well. These video clips will be added to the site.
Do I have to download all parts of a video file from the same host?
No, links are interchangeable. For instance you can download part one of a file from MEDIAFIRE, part two from MEGA with no waiting.
How do I report a dead or misdirected video download link?
Members may reply to the post with the problem (please be specific). All posts are tracked. Be sure to check the "Track" box so you'll be informed when the problem is corrected. Normal correction time is one to two days.
Do I need to have an account with the file hosts I'm downloading from?
No, it is not necessary.
Are video clips for member's only or visitor's too?
Currently visitor's and member's may access the video areas.
Why are the RAR video file titles generic?Specific titles cause quicker deletion by file hosts.
Why not use password protected RAR files so they aren't deleted by video hosts?This does not work! Password protecting files will not prevent deletion by file hosts and may actually result in that file or files being deleted.
I want to download a video clip but it is in the DEAD VIDEO LINKS section. How do I get the video clip?I re-posted many of the videos in that section in the Summer of 2015. Most were due to the original shutdown of MEGAUPLOAD. If you need a video in the DEAD VIDEO LINKS section members can send me a message, or use chat box on main page. Please be specific.
Why are all video files (even single download files) in RAR (archived) format?Files that are playable, like AVI, MPEG, etc... are deleted quicker by file hosts than non-playable files.
How can I view the video once I have downloaded all the RAR files?You need an archive program like 7ZIP or WINRAR to extract the video file. 7ZIP is Free, but WINRAR is a commercial product that must be paid for.
I want to upload files myself, what host(s) do you recommend?MEDIAFIRE & MEGA are the only hosts we currently recommend for personal storage.
